2024 INSTITUTE FOR ACADEMIC FEMINIST PSYCHOLOGISTS

The Committee on Academic Feminist Psychology, a committee of the Society for the Psychology of Women (American Psychological Association - Division 35) is convening the 4th Institute for Academic Feminist Psychologists.  The Institute will be held in from late afternoon on Tuesday, June 18th, to early afternoon on Thursday, June 20th, 2024, before the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues (SPSSI) convention in Philadelphia, PA.

IAFP GOALS:

  • Creating and sustaining a national community of feminist academic psychologists  

  • Supporting pre-tenure/post-doc/ABD/recently tenured academics

  • Facilitating networking and skill-building

  • Supporting successful career outcomes: tenure, sustainability, meaningful careers

 

Previous Institutes:

  • San Antonio (January 2012)

  • Pittsburgh (March 2016)

  • Miami (June 2018)

  • Attended and supported by many current Division 35 leaders, including APA President-Elect Debra Kawahara
